Charity Balloon Race 2008

We launched over 900 balloons from the Strawberry Fair in Brentwood on June 7th.

This fantastic effort raised £1300 for our two 2007-8 charities:

The Results !!

Our winning balloon travelled 189 miles to Earlby, Barnoldswick, Lancashire (approx 25 miles NW of Bradford).

Congratulations to the Balloon owner, James Clark, who wins first prize of £150.

In second place was by Rod Danfier, whose balloon made it to Ashbourne (near Derby) - 63 miles closer! Rod wins a £50 Debenhams voucher.

In third place was by Lisa Mckray, whose balloon made it to Harpenden in Hertfordshire - she wins a cuddly toy the size of an armchair!.

In total, we had approximately 30 balloons returned.
